Dear Candlewood Lion Members,
Well, we asked the question “DO YOU WANNA DANCE?” And the answer was YES!!!!
On April 22nd our biggest fund raiser of the year “Do You Wanna Dance Party” was held at Anthony’s Lake Club in Danbury. All partiers enjoyed appetizers, pizza delivered to their tables and a delicious buffet, fifties trivia contest, dance contest and Chinese, Silent and Live Auctions. Everyone had a wonderful time dancing the night away, many in fifties dress adding to the fun of the evening. The Lionettes entertained everyone with their skits and songs. The evening was a great success. Lion Gerry Platania chaired the event. He and his committee put a great deal of time and effort into the planning and their efforts are greatly appreciated.
On April 29th our RAFFLE came to an end. The drawing was held at Shaws in New Fairfield at 1:00 pm. Lions Jean Knopf, Lion Marlene Lamendola, Lion Bob Gyle and Loin Carrie Matos were on had for the drawing. Lion Carries son JP drew the winning tickets
